LONDON (AFP) - Energy firm EON UK, which is owned by German power giant EON, apologised after one of its senior executives joked that a harsh winter would mean "more money for us".

EON's head of power trading Mark Owen-Lloyd, when asked on Wednesday how already high energy prices could be affected by a bitter winter, responded: "It will make more money for us.".....

If there was ever an opportunity for the British chancellor to impose a windfall tax then it is now. This is outrageous but what else do you expect from capitalists and opportunists. Tax them until they squeal.
