Thomas, the world's first pregnant man, was born a girl, Tracy Lagondino.

He had a sex change 10 years ago, receiving hormone treatment and getting his breasts removed.

But he kept his reproductive organs because mum-of-two Nancy had a hysterectomy in the 1980s.

I don't believe that a woman can undergo 'gender re-assignment' and 'become' a man, as this abomination illustrates! It is purely cosmetic surgery. She could no more become a man than I could become a tiger (undergo 'species re-assignment'). When will this madness end?

i cant believe how much coverage the media are giving this story.The person in question never gave up their female organs so what is all the fuss about.It goes to show that we must be very wary of any or all stories that the media hype or manipulate

My initial reaction is that I'm glad the baby is a girl and not a boy. Can you imagine the disgust the boy would feel as he grows up and realises that the person pretending to be his father is actually a "bearded lady" and his mother.

This sad case is a prime example as to why marriage can never be extended to homosexuals.

Having said that, I wish good luck to the couple and the child and hope that, withstanding the peverse nature of the arrangement, it works out well for all three of them.

So what makes someone a man? If you are born with both sets of organs as a baby, what are you? Are you less of a man with just one ball or more of one with three? If you lose you tackle in a war do you have to hand in your man badge?
