Schoolkids to pay €3.50 for water

Interesting lead article in the Indo today
    http://www.independent.ie/national-n...s-1258254.html

Madness- I have no doubt that the grants per school will NOT be increased to account for this.

What is needed is that Schools simply not pay, and dare the govt to take them to court or cut them off. With locals in 2009, would you want to be a green canvasser in a rural area?

Do you have a view on charging kids for water in school when we dont charge ministers carbon taxes for effing about in gigantic mercs?

Well, I read it, and yes I believe the schools should challenge the Government on this issue.

I do not really understand how a country could charge schools for these things?

    It is bizarre to me.

When you see how the Government is preparing the current generation of kids for the future you might wonder if they have any intelligence between the bunch of them.

    Free education indeed.

I love how the Grianna Fail members keep their heads down and skulk in shame. Serves em right. When they start SERIOUSLY giving leadership (no more mercs, give em a bus pass for example) I may take them semi seriously. But, no ... lets tax kiddies.

Sure why not, didn’t John Bruton try to tax the shoes on their feet & the cloths on their back, not once but twice. Short memory there Blucey, try some other tack, although you’ll have to go some to find a subject that FG haven’t ballsed up at one time or another.

Yep, he did. So? FG had a flirtation with fascisim in the 30's - would that make greens armed with courgette peelers right?
Anyhow, enuf they did-we did Tone ole mate. Do YOU think it right to start paying for water in this way, or should it be elsewhere or atallatall?
