No. Having Health Policy determined by County Councillors was never part of that policy.
I take it Green Party Cllrs do not participate in these fora.
They do, but the recognise them for what they are, fora, not legislative assemblies that you resign from in a hissy fit when you don't get your way.

The purpose of the fora is not to 'get things done', as you well know.

Fair enough, I'll rephrase that. So they accept their expenses for nothing useful.

Why aren't they useful? If they inform local reps regarding HSE issues and services in their area, they are useful. My point is that they don't exist as some sort of extension to the Oireachtas where county councillors can demand A B and C from the HSE.

Well because when Cllrs actually request information they are generally not given what they are looking. Did you not read the article in the Examiner yesterday?

And members of the Oireachtas can't demand A B and C from the HSE as it stands.

some are taking a very cynical view of this girl and it's a wonder they weren't concerned also whether she was wearing clothing to keep her legs appropriately covered..ahem... yous don't like her because she is sf,smart and very articulate and sincere and more importantly an electoral threat. the hse's and the health service in general is in need of review and eamon dunphy even raises serious concerns in today's irish star. at least this girl has the integrity to risk being criticised for putting her opinion and reputation in the public domain. she's a talented bright star to enhance politics and the dynamic of this island in the years ahead.
