    The extent of shameless cronyism and back-scratching never cases to amaze me.

    I dream of the day ethics and a sense of public duty and responsibility come to the fore in our body politic, but I fear I may be waiting quite some time.

    Fine Gael should oppose this. Its a bloody disgrace. Lets see some leadership from Enda on this.

    Will this benefit Dick Roche aswell when he retires. I ask because the 2004 reshuffle was in october and obviously, the current government was formed in june 2007. Just shy of three years, but now there will be no doubt to Dick's entitlements.
