HSE Employees and unions gone mad

The workers and Unions in the HSE are complaining about staff cuts.

Each employee has a job to do and whether there are staff cuts resultingin lessening of patient care -- it is a function of management not the workers.

I would ask ech employee to dO ther job to the best of their ability and stop expending energy and tme on issues that are a function of management.

I suppose the next thing you'll be telling us is that the health service should be run for the benefit of moneybags capitalist roaders like Ulick McEvaddy and Larry Goodman.

should bus drivers tell the management what busses to buy should van delivery bread men tell the bakers what flour to buy
the HSE workers stick their nioses into the overall haelth services details

would they ever do their own specific job and not be trying to do other functions

the truth always hurts and in this case the doctors and nurses should stick to their own jobs

Unlike you, they probably do give a hoot about the service.

Certainly they would know a good deal more about the characteristics of the buses or the flour than management would.

So, management can never be improved by worker input? Well, there's probably room for you as a management consultant in companies that want to put the clock back 40 years.

The HSE's bid to insert a gagging order into the contracts of consultants - who may wish to publicly highlight health service shortcomings - smacks of the sort of censorship the Stickies rigorously policed in RTE, through the darkest days of Section 31 censorship. That reign of terror could have been considerably eased, had people indeed just stuck to their jobs

Going by that post you clearly know nothing about the Irish health service.
