No excuse if you are close to Derry or Enniskellin, or Sligo. Main roads to these areas are pretty good (none of that bul************************ either). Again, you would swear that places like Dungloe , Glenswilly , Inishowen are the only places in the country that are isolated from the bigger County Towns / City.
You would also swear that these people won't have access to midwives and regular check ups to make sure all is okay before the birth.
There was little or no chance Donegal attracting business when the hospital was up and running in Letterkenny. But, yes, the prospects are even worse now.
There is little or no chance of Donegal attracting business if there isn't a pretty good hospital with even a gynae ward for God's sake. The citizens of this country are no longer valued I'm afraid.
You poor uneducated man. Do look up the definitions of Obstetrics v Gynaecology.
Also there is on award an the way for you. You do FG proud. We can call it the Eoin O'Duffy medal.

If this is the best you can do, go and jog on, don't be embarrassing yourself.
The statement made by me is reasonably fair. Donegal people are not liked by others, most of them are pissy people with massive chips on their shoulders. The threads here show it.Always the victim.
Pointing out that it is surely possible for neighbours and friends, like in other counties , will help in providing lifts to the station/bus stop (which provides better services to the towns and cities with the hospitals) is hardly pathetic.
Care to rebut any of that? No, thought not
But hey, poor sensitives fags like you don't like these things pointed out to you.
Clearly you have a mental age of about 12, and an emotional age of about 8
The only person here flaunting their massive chips-on-shoulders is you. Go on, tell us really happened, some Donegal lass laughed at you when you tried to make a move on her in the Gaeltacht last summer, right?
Relying on family members is charity? Neighbours, is charity?
Jesus , things really are ************************************ up in Donegal (and possibly other places)
Not everyone in Ireland has large extended families they can call on. Furthermore, many have had family members emigrate due to our pathetic politicians. Moreover, why should someone put upon their neighbours? Is that what we have sunk to? Why not have done with it and just bring back the workhouse?
Why? It has nothing to do with the points made. The type of service provided in LGH was irrelevant. However, in light of your passion for all things baby related , care to point all of this out to the hysterical people who fear for the closure of the this unit, even if they are men, and have heart problems as some posters pointed out.
It does not take away from the fact that I did not a comment that was completely inaccurate. (ie baby related issues) So your saying that Obstetrics and Gynae has absolutely nothing to do with children ie pregnant women? Absolutely nothing?
Now clever bollox, ************************ off . You are not even intelligent enough to rebut or respond . You don't get special prizes for having the most posts. If you can't rebut what was said or provide a counter argument, then don't respond
Perhaps you would explain to us just how an Irish citizen resident in the Republic is to ********** off to Derry (Altnagelvin) as you put it and seek routine medical care??
MODS! Why is this poster walrusgrumble still being allowed to post on this thread? All s/he has done for the last dozen or so posts is hurl personal insults. Last time I checked that was a breach of site rules!
