What benefit is multiculturalism to White people?

There have been many threads on racial issues on P.ie over the last year or so and they all descend into people calling each other racist or nambie pambie liberial etc.

I think it's time that we dispensed with the jargon and name calling and have a full and open discussion in relation to the benefits or disbenefit of multiculturalism to White people.

I looked this matter up online and despite thousands of results, couldn't find a suitable link to put on here to list the alleged benefits, all discussion appeared to be negative.

Maybe the posters of P.ie can come up with a list of positives and negatives on the matter from our own perspective.

/MOD/ This thread merged here: What Are The Benefits of Multiculturalism / Multiracialism to Black People /MOD

A lot more benefit than it was to Blacks in Africa or Australia, Native Americans and Asians. In general we are being presented with a chance to learn about other cultures with out having them imposed upon us, unlike what WHITE people did while visisting these countries in times past.

If we learn something from our recent immigrants then perhaps there is something to be gained.

We would not be so caught up with ourselves if actually listened to many of these people, we would realise that we are not the only ones in the world who were a colony, who had a famine, who had a national struggle.

We could have interesting new restaurants, festivals such as film festivals carnivals etc and our young people could be alot more clued in than the previous generation were regarding the outside world.

On the negative side we could end up with religious nutcases, we have had our own homegrown ones in our recent history and I don't wish to return to that.

It's a hell of a lot more interesting living in a multicultural society. I was born and raised in Ireland but moved to London 10 years ago and found it a breath of fresh air to be surrounded by different sorts of people, with different ways of thinking, all sorts of new and interesting things I can learn and really is a window to the world. I could never live back in Ireland again where everybody is essentially the same. Same old tired ways of thinking where nothing ever changes. Same old faces. Variety is the spice of life.

Define "multiculturalism", or at least say what you understand it to mean?

Other way around for me, I was born and raised in South London, I found moving to rural Ireland a breath of fresh air, it was drug free, there was community, it was a genuine culture.....

A proper place to raise children, which still has moral values.

When your Prada handbag gets taken off you, we will see if you feel the same way.

I hope you stay in London. The less angsty 15 year olds we have the better.

Eh? That makes absolutely no sense.

Polaris, you've already lost your right to part in a sensible conversation a long time ago.
