If your child was Gay ...

Most parents want to see their children suceed in terms of career, family and life
So what should a parent think if their their boy or girl comes home and says he or she is gay?
Personally i would be dissapointed but thats just me
This is not an anti gay thread - just a discussion for parents on how parents consider what might arise with their kids if they were gay
    Are you ok with this?
    What about your childs future?
    Etc ...

I think your actual reaction would all depend on the moment they told you.

Capital G - I'd blame my partner and me for giving him/her such an ambiguous name.

lowercase g - I reckon that I'd be somewhat perplexed and perhaps even wonder about my own sexuality! But then I'd rationalise it by blaming the missus's side of the family!

I'd beat them with a straight edge!

Seriously though it would not bother me one bit, except for the grandchildren end of the equation.

If I had only one child and they didn't want to have children, gay or otherwise, i would be disappointed. if they turned out gay and wanted children then no problem.

As I would have taught my kids to respect decent people regardless of their sexual proclivities, creed, race or colour, my love for my gay child would remain utterly unchanged.
