Incorrect. I would not consider the child my real biological grandchild. Which it is not. I would certainly be the kids real adoptive grandparent.

Adoptive parents don't think they are biologically connected to their children. They are not engaged in some kind of charade.

When you use the phrase "real parent", you invite confusion because some people might think that the biological relationship is more important than the care-taking relationship, which is clearly not true.

If a child is born to Person X, given up for adoption at birth and raised by Person Y, then the most important relationship in the child's life is going to be their relationship with Person Y.

I don't think I've be over the moon if a nephew of mine was gay, and I base that on my own experiences in this and other countries.

Quite a lot actually. 20 years less life expectancy for one.

I'd rather my child to be gay than seriously depressed (although the two are not exclusive). Some children are born with very debilitating disabilities, some become lizards pf people from drugs or drink. Again not exclusive, but if you have a healthy happy child without addictions, then the gay thing shouldn't matter

My nephew came out properly last week, though it was hardly a shock, he seems to think people don't look at his face book photos, (Now that was a shock!) I think he is happier for having come out and this is good. He is a clever lad and will do well.
