Aye TA....indicative of the cosy "suit" brigade that ran amok!
Politicos, bankers, union heads, auditors, accountants, lawyers,solicitors...all changing places on state boards...all leaving retail banking to go to investments...to go to credit rating agencies...

always remembering the old boy network that got you were you are!!

    Utterly pathetic!

There has been questionable goings on in SIPTU for years and EVERYBODY knows that.
The HSE has been more crafty. Their junkets were all ''SIPTU's fault.''
But as with all white collar gangsters in this country, no one is brought to justice.
A question for all contributors to P.ie.
WHERE WERE THE GARDAI FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS in (1) Recovering documents from Anglo Irish Bank. (2) in bringing the Seanie Fitz to justice. (3) In bringing Lynn, solicitor to justice. (4) in bringing David Drumm to justice.
Bankers, politicians and other white collar rogues have been jailed in other countries. why not here. ?
Is the commissioner tying their hands ?
    Answers please.
Maybe they are spending too much time checking motor tax and TV licences. Safe little number.

And never forget M<aybe it's like all these other situations in Ireland where a white collar type is under the cosh, his contract is constitutionally binding. And we want to add more hidey holes to that document of rogues?

So a fruit and veg seller gets 6 years for a 1.6 million VAT scam .....and for 2.3 million expenses scam Siptu official gets .....well away with it completely really , job security untouched , pension still in the bag and long career ahead
Pretty much sums up the system ...screw it all you like from the inside and refuse to answer questions ..... whilst the plebs look on , helpless and powerless
