Not so Clanrickard. This scandal goes all the way up the healthcare foodchain. That includes the beleaguered Minister. She should resign or be removed from her portfolio.
There are serious concerns to address for others too.
    HIQA for one.

This idea that Harney is the noble heroine who took on the tough job no one else would do is utter nonsense. Her sole purpose in Health is to destroy the public system and replace it private health care.

Dick Roche or John O'Donoghue are just 2 FFers who would kiss Cowen's arse for the job.

Pat Rabbitte vs. Barry Andrews on Pat Kenny shortly, should be worth a listen!

Disagree. The minister cannot be responsible for the goings on in every hospital. Ministers decide policy but the day to day running and administration is in the hands of the board and the HSE. They are responsible. I get the whiff of left wing union backed campaigning.

Barry Andrews was "defending" Harney in the Dail yesterday. Andrews defending Harney is a bit like the Yorkshire ripper defending the Moors murderers - not to be taken seriously at all.

    .
She is such a Thatcherite that when she amalgamated the Health Boards into the HSE thousands lost their jobs and she increased fees to Pharmacists in the private sector and many sectors of the hospital sector were privatised and ..................oh .........wait a minute. What's that? She did none of those things?!?!? Whaaaaat! But...but....Fintan O'Toole and Vincent Browne and Pat Rabitte and Eamon Gilmore said she did.

Her failure to gauge the scale of the crisis when informed on Dec 15th is either incompetence or disinterest.

Fair dues to Andrews, he sounds far more prepared for the exchanges than Rabbitte is.

Begod, it must be a pretty strong hogo if it overcomes the stench of remove-Ministerial-accountability-by-setting-up-a-qango-whose-board-can-also-be-used-to-provide-sinecures-for-the-chosen that's been coming off the HSE since its inception. What a discriminating nose you must have, Clanrickard!
