Turns out Kieth Falkiner misquoted the HSE. The quote came from the Department of Children and Health.

I'm awaiting their response. I'll keep y'all posted.

    Here ye go:

    Dear [snip]

Thank you for your email below which was forwarded to the Department by the HSE.

In response to an email on 10th September, the Department said that the position is that the Department is satisfied that the provisions in 1947 Health Act for the control and management of infectious diseases, gives it sufficient powers to deal with a pandemic outbreak.

At the end of a press briefing on Pandemic 2009 (H1N1) on 10th September, in response to questions from a journalist, I advised there is no intention to make the vaccine compulsory therefore the issue of people being 'jailed' for refusing to get the vaccine does not arise.

I trust this is of assistance to you.

    Regards,
    [snip]

Government enforced vaccination stories have been around for sometime Sarkozy’s Secret Plan for Mandatory Swine Flu Vaccination. If they are true they are certainly worrying.

Such an action could lead to big problems as not everybody wants the vaccine or may have bad reactions to it.

I'd be inclined to regard any attempt to force me to take the swine-flu vaccine as "deadly assault". Be warned.

While I appreciate and share the sentiment what good can actually come into fruition by making declarations on an online forum. I've contacted the HSE directly who advised me there is no such plan. They're quite adamant about it. I actually felt a little sheepish by way of their response.

Does anyone have any ideas on how we can corroborate this? I don't mind doing the monkey work if any members have some useful ideas.

No doubt the same people that will say "YES" to the Lisbon Treaty will say "YES" to poisonous injections that undermine the immune system.

P.S. In the same way Jim Corr was right about Lisbon I think he's onto something with the swine flu vaccine being a bioweapon

You're telling an anti-vaccination advocate to take tablets. Best irony I've seen all day.
