Ah...I understand so when the Greens reject NAMA they are the real hero's even though they have enabled FF to "lead" the country into the proverbial ********************ter.

Meanwhile the opposition, who have opposed the above for the past 2 years while watching you toolboxes commit hari kari on the future of the country, and who have proposed different methods of quarantine to NAMA which are less costly to the Irish people in the long run and have worked in other countries are just sh*ts for not supporting NAMA????

Also as a by the by, there is no legislating for the absolute disgrace that is the Green Party.

The "We have morals, we oppose big business, we detest bad planning, we support the protestors at Tara, we support the protestors at Corrib, we will ban blood sports, we detest corruption" party who when they get a sniff of power turn into the "who gives a ******************** about the people who voted for us, who cares about Tara, Corrib, blood sports, who cares if we get fleas from lying with dogs, who cares about our leader who led us to this stage - if he doesnt like it kick him out" party

An effing disgrace of a party which has no mandate, is absolutely morally bankrupt and for the sake of the ordinary decent party members and councillors who have quit the party in disgust should vote itself out of existence before the electorate do it for them.
    QFT.

    Every word of it.

I often wonder about the level of understanding about how the system works in ireland. I hear this a lot. I've heard many a rant recently blaming FG and Labour for not stopping FF.

The simple fact is that the people didn't vote in sufficent numbers for FG and/or Labour. Fine Gael and Labour combined got 71 seats, FF/PD got 80.

If you want FF out of power, stop voting for them! How difficult is this to understand? Any time you hear someone ranting and blaming FG/Lab for the actions of FF in Govt, just ask them how they voted for in 2007. You can be guaranteed there'll be a few FFers in their top 4 preferences...because "shure he sorted out the planning for me sister, shure he got them potholes fixed, shure he's a grand lad bought me a pint once"

And a whole list of other idiotic reasons why they voted for corruption and incompetence.

And then they blame FG for FF winning seats!

Any vote for any FFer in any election is a vote for the continuing destruction of this nation by the criminal cabal at the top of that party.

I'd consider it. Nama would be crossing the Rubicon, there would be no way back for the Greens then. I think if there was an election, the Greens would do quite well. People would tend to overlook their previous failures of the past.

Definitely give it some consideration. They had a half dozen votes from my family for a good few years.

I think the majority of people I've talked to said if the Greens pass over the NAMA line, they are finished. No more green influence after 2012 (or earlier)

Just correcting what I think you meant to say...

I think if the Greens can make Fianna Fail significantly reduce the amount that the tax payer will be forced to overpay for NAMA they will have done the country a big service. So Yes, even though I never supported them before I would do so on this occasion.

NAMA is such a big issue and potentially so expensive that I could tolerate some nutty green ideas if the Greens manage to keep the cost of NAMA to a minimum.
