Another election, another Green Party posters debacle.....

Remember the tomatoes and lettuce on posters in 2004? Well it seems they've outdone themselves again.

Damaged eco-friendly election posters recalled - The Irish Times - Tue, May 12, 2009

AN UNUSUAL flaw has emerged in the Green Party’s environmentally friendly batch of election posters.
Around half of the party’s 100 local election candidates opted for eco-friendly election posters, but the wood used has turned out to be below the standard required and the posters have split and disintegrated during inclement weather over the weekend.

A party spokesman confirmed last night that it had ordered the recall of all that batch of posters as a precautionary measure. The recall affects some 50 candidates.
The irony of their own preachyness and moralising backfiring is just delicious

I say fair play to the Greens for not fitting them, if only other Party's had the well being of the public in mind with regard to defective posters.

    Remember the song ?

"The answer my friend is blowing in the wind "

In fairness the signs lasted somewhat longer than their ethics policy did once they got into Government.

No as told on 96FM, a bunch of kids picked up a poster that had fallen down, were playing with it and one kid got a little scratch - thats all...Mummy then seems to have decided to get all worked up about it !
    Wonder why ?

The real problem of course is that if they screwed up such a simple project then what would the consequences be if one of their Green projects costing billions was as poorly thought out, designed and executed.
That is one of the consequences of letting those driven by ideology hold power and giving them access to the taxpayers money.
We have already seen how Ryan has molly coddled the Shell to Sea fanatics.
