Green Party confirms by-election candidates

The Green Party has confirmed its candidates for the upcoming Dublin South and Dublin Central by-elections.

David Geary will contest the poll in Dublin Central, while Elizabeth Davdison is the party's candidate in Dublin South.

Both politicians are also seeking council seats in the local elections.

The by-elections are due to be held on June 5, the same day as the local and European elections.

Davidson is a desperate choise.

Rejected by the voters in Tallaght in 2004, rejected by the wider population of DSW in 2007 - now she thinks that a hop across to Rathfarnham & Dublin South might make a difference.

The Greens really are running a candidate for the sake of it, why didn't they run their sitting Cllr in Dundrum (co-optee) or a candidate a little younger then Davidson?
