Green Party - Economy isn't worth saving if GP lose power!

I spoke with a Green Party supporting friend recently. I spouted about how badly the government was doing etc and he said it wasn't the GP's fault. I certainly think they haven't helped but would agree that they are not majorly to blame. I asked if they should pull the plug and allow a General Election to take place.

He said no. He accepted that FG would be the only ones who could restructure the economy, but said that if GP were not in power, the Green Agenda would not be in place. To put it bluntly, he said that he knew the FF/GP govt would not create jobs (in spite of Green Collar rhetoric), but said it was more important than jobs to have the Greens in power.

You talked to your mate, and based on his view that's something you think Gormley should defend? Get a grip.

What a load of cobblers that is. The Greens? Do we really need them? Are they important? No and No!

I'd rather jobs than eliminating cheap light bulbs or providing a cycle to work scheme that no one is interested in

Someoone got out on the wrong side of bed. Libertas getting you down?

Eamon Ryan has continually said that having the GP in power they get more done. My mate was good enough to articulte why he supports the GP, even when he accepts that they are failing on the economy.

Thanks for sharing that with us.

Maybe you should try Facebook the next time you want to let us in on how profoundly mundane your existence is.

Incredible wit again from the GP.

So I asuume by your dismissal that you believe that the GP should stay in government even though the majority government party is running the country into the ground and the GP are doing nothing to stop it?

What you mean, I think, is that you prefer jobs now to catastrophe in the future. And that you haven't bothered to look at the performance of the Green ministers, so you picked on two rather small reforms to make yoiur argument look better.

Anyway, you haven't told us how the slashing of government spending that Richard Bruton wants is going to create jobs.
