    Litter

Why aren't greens screaming about litter in this City? I went down Henry street on 23rd Dec and the place was as dirty as hell. Overflowing bins, people kicking cans and coffee cups, remnants of food everywhere. Where I live there are very few litter bins, beer cans and lucozade bottles lie around for weeks. And what do Greens do? They bitch about SUVs. Amazing.

Yes, clearly it's either discuss litter or discuss SUVs. Stupid Greens not to know this!

Have you contacted any Green representatives in your local area to ask them what they're doing?

providing bins on streets and in parks would mean increased government intervention in people's lives, and would take away incentive for people to conserve and not waste. It isn't Government's role to spend taxpayer's money encouraging people to put their waste in empty beer cans instead of dumping them in bushes. Isn't that how capitalism works?

I did. They said they were concerned with equality of incomes, taxing corporations and getting people out of SUVs and into the busses. Also, they had strong feelings about exploitation of the third world and the fact the USA wouldn’t sign Kyoto.

No the capitalism works so that people work and earn wages for those who don't so that they can go on to show their gratitude for the free ride by thrashing the streets and working on getting high cholesterol and liver cirrhosis so then they’ll need money for the health bill.

What makes you think it's those who don't work who are "thrashing" (sic) the streets?

Did you ask them what they were doing about litter?
Yes. They were appalled with my attitude. Bloody privileged middle-class ************************er wants everyone to conform to some elitist rules of behavior.

What makes you think I see litter bins as undesireable government intervention?

    (a) I never suggested that you did.

    (b) Why not answer the question?
