Predictions for Greens' seats in 2009 local elections

Yeah I know, we're gonna get wiped out, sellouts, Gormless, lentil soup and sandals, yada, yada, yada!
But could people be a little more scientific and analytical in their predictions and try to be just a little bit realistic and unpartisan and mature (hard, I know). FYI, the Greens currently have 18 county councillors (after recent resignations) and 9 town councillors. You can see the current list here.

In Dublin City, I think you will come back with 2, one in Pembroke Rathmines and one in South West Inner City. I don't know about the rest of the country.

The evidence seems to suggest that the GP core vote is holding up, however the will not get transfers as they did in the past. FG & Labour will see them as a prop for FF while FF transfers will just not be out there as they will need every vote to get final seats.

I would expect the Gren to come back with roughly what they got in the last locals, but not have a hope of a seat anywhere in the Euros.
The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

Greens will lost their seat on Kinsale T.C., and possibly on Passage West T.C. also.

I'd imagine Healy will lose his seat in the Howth-Malahide Ward.
His role working in John Gormley's office has led to him abandoning his local work, instead coming along to meetings organised by other candidates, and in general, he's not been on the doors at all.

No idea but I wont be voting for you lot.

Try counting up the number you now have and then subtracting that sum by the same amount

    - that should give you a ball park figure.

The Greens have become contaminated with FF Dioxins.

i would seriously doubt the chance of a seat for the green party in the south west inner city. seeing as Fianna Fail have no seat out of three, and there is now an extra seat, you would have to favour Catherine Ardagh, Sean A's daughter for the extra seat. if FF do as bad as this weeks poll, and labour as well, then you would have to fancy labour for a second seat.
