    Eamon Ryan on Vincent Browne

Just watched the Minister's interview with Vincent Browne on TV3. What a car crash!

Far from a car crash - I thought Eamon did pretty well. Browne came across as a hectoring eejit getting indignant because Eamon wouldn't answer his "when did you stop beating your wife" question.

Of course I would say that.

You mean the 'Why did the Greens initially approve a 1% levy on the pay of the poorest people in Ireland who had previously been outside all tax brackets?' question that Ryan failed to answer?

He answered that he approved it as part of a package but Browne didn't want to hear that, he wanted to insist that Ryan justify a single measure from the budget in complete isolation.
