Lisbon II: will green party members have to vote again?

Before the last referendum, Green members voted to decide the party's official policy.

If there is a second referendum on an amended treaty - or one with concessions and opt-outs etc- will the party have another vote?

Or does the former decision (which I think left members free to take either side) still stand?

Your questions imply that there's a morality involved. You don't really think that, do you?

???? Where does morality come in to party procedure?

If we had taken a position one way or the other on the last referendum I expect there would be some people who would call for that position to just be carried over into any new referendum. However as we have no position I expect that the "Yes" at least side will have another go at getting a two-thirds majority for their view.
Worth breaking my "no sig" rule for:

RTÉ News: Libertas plans European election run

ddb explained her wish to have legally binding protocols added like the danes did, so the presenter asked her, so is that what your ministers are saying to the cabinet to have ready for ref and she said well no this is what we'll need to get it past our members, still pretending there not in government.

Let's hope the Green membership listen to the voice of the Irish people and say no to this discredited and rejected treaty.

    Or opposition!

The opposition are pretty united in favour of Lisbon too you know!

Green Party members, for better or worse, take each issue on its own merits. It doesn't make life easy for the Ministers, but it does keep them on their toes.

This is a different model to the top down approach taken by the other parties - including Sinn Fein, as many disgruntled SF members keep reminding me.

Do you want more of the Una Duce, Una Voce approach, or might people power be a better model for sorting out our many problems?

    What do you think?

you disunderstand me completely, we really don't care what green members think at the moment we want to know what will happen with the referendum what form it will take, ddb is saying the green party have a (complex) plan yet seem to suggest that they somehow havn't or not interested in putting this in the mix at the cabinet table because?????
