    Well, let's be honest.

Which of us, when forced to listen to a Frances Fitzgerald speech, would not feel the temptation to do something odd?

Its a pity there isn't some basic standard of behaviour that TDs have to live up to.

    Knocking people down while drunk.
Going the wrong way up the motor way (while drunk)
    Lying and Thieving
    Complete incompetence
    Insanity

Shouldn't the above bar people from elected office.
And politicians blame the media for apathy.

And the in the running for the most stupid quote from a politician........."If somebody asked me to cook a kitten in a microwave, the thought would cross my mind. But I'm an animal-loving vegetarian, so I wouldn't do it."

    Well done Paul

Maybe we should require all politicians to seek a renewed mandate from their constituents at least once every 5 years?

Or maybe that's going a bit far?

    Did he do that though?
Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.

Go on then, give us the full rundown on Fitzgerald's trojan efforts against the incinerator.

By the way, wouldn't Fitzgerald have been one of the Fine Gael councillors who voted to include incineration in the Dublin regional waste plan?
