The Greens - Lest We Forget

Watching Crisis tonight prompted many thoughts.

Amongst them is a consideration of the greens and the extent of their culpability in the ruination of Ireland.

No-one can come close to FF - not just Cowen's term, but probably from Lynch onwards - but remember. In 2007, Bertie's Ard Fheis infamous address outlined the basis on which the greens entered Coalition.

Throughout the 4+ years of its existence, the greens not only propped up the government, they participated in and facilitated some of the most under-handed dealings ever entered into by those elected to represent and lead us.

For this they must be indicted and held responsible.

A hell of a price to pay for the ban on stag hunting.

Until they purge their party of all taints of gormley, Ryan et al they should never be allowed any semblence of power or influence again.

It should be a massive wake-up to Labour, if at any point it looks like FG are losing a lot of support, Labour should be out of there as fast as possible.

Why oh Why, do you think that the lowest form of pond life, a.k.a. the Uber Sleazy Greens were only in it for e.g. stag hunting bans? The microscope really needs to be turned onto the "Greens" and the reasons that they did exactly as to what they were instructed to do by the FFer's, it would be akin to looking at sewage

The thing people commonly forget about the Greens is that even prior to the nightmare of the last government, their core support was tiny, only Sargent would ever have got within an asses roar of a seat without their transfer friendliness, they regularly lost deposits in rural constituencies, you have to ask did a party with that kind of support have any business in government in the first place?

And you think the Greens "enabled" FF to do all this?

To my shame, I admit I voted for them in 2007.

I will never forget, and I will make sure that when my children grow up they know what happened, and why they are paying the price for the Greens complicity.
