Green Party to return to Carnsore Point for the next stage in its rebuilding

From the Sunday Business Post: Greens to regroup at Carnsore Point | The Post

Although the article begins: "The Green Party will begin the process of picking up the pieces of its electoral meltdown at a gathering of party members next month", the rebuilding of the party after its humbling by the electorate is actually well underway.

As some of you will already know, a number of gatherings (titled "Regather and Refocus") have been held since the General Election in addition to the party's Annual Convention in June and elections of a new Leader and Deputy Leader.

Constituency groups are meeting and other internal party structures are functioning. From what I've heard, there are even new members joining!

But none of the above will stop the onslaught of bilious ranting from the usual hacks that is likely to result from my OP

Maybe we should just ignore you and you might go away............................... though in a funny almost masochistic way I do miss being talked down to by Eamonn Ryan
Never listen when they tell you that Man and the animals have a common interest, that the prosperity of the one is the prosperity of the others. It is all lies.

My one abiding memory of the Green Party comes from 2007 when Trevor Sargent stated before the election that he would not lead his party into government with Fianna Fail.

So he resigned after the election and got Gormley to do it instead and called it the 'happiest day of my life' on going into office with FF.

Well you're paying for it now Trevor.

Eh - no, we're paying for it - Trevor now happily retired on TD/Ministerial pension pottering around in his back garden solving the worlds problems one cabbage at a time.

Gluttons for punishment, why do they not pack up their f##king little stall and leave the people alone to pay off the debts they created for our country. Go and live off your pensions you parasites.
