Sorry, if I missed any thread on this, but I did not notice any and I cannot start one as for some absurd reason my previous tiny infringement punishment ( misplacing a very innocent thread in the wrong forum) has not been lifted and BTW WHY?
Mrs Ryan, her christian name hasn't registered with me so i don't know it was speaking to Charlie Bird on the radio when he was standing in for Marion a few weeks ago. She was complaining that herself and himself and their 4 sprogs had been kicked out of a green hotel in Spain due to the behaviour of her autistic son who was dear thing suffering from as she put it sensory overload and had an episode which was highly disruptive to other guests! So hence they were effectively told to go and go fast! She also pointed out that she knew she was right and that such an incident could not happen under Irish disability law! AM HELLO! What sort of level of disconnect are you suffering from and where on the autism scale are yourself and your husband registering on? This seems to have been a case far beyond a child being naughty and annoying a few guests it appears from what she said to have been space cadet stuff entirely and other guests almost all of whom couldn't be as financially comfortable as these ejits had to bear the consequences of this behaviour! She actually stated that the child concerned has a penchant for srtealing things but Eammon takes him aside and tells him it's wrong. Ah a working class child could conceivably end up before the courts in a similar situation ie robbing! If a family member isn't fit to be let out side his front door, why are you letting him out?
A few weeks previously she was on Matt Cooper telling the world how she stood behind Eammo making the tough decisions and how much she loved him etc, there was a flood of e-mails and texts to the show the vast bulk of which were get that ah out of the studio fast!
BTW, while everything I posted on this one is absolutely correct and it may sound harsh I have no fears of Eammo requesting it to be pulled etc because he stated on VB the other night he was totally opposed to internet censorship - good man Eammo!

Passionateheart, I have no time for Ryan, but think your post over the top.

Suggest you read a book called "For the Love of Ann" which is the story of a working class family raising an autistic child in the sixties. It can be purchased on Amazon.

It relates a similar type of incident when the family were holidaying in Blackpool and Ann suffered a sensory overload and how it affected her brothers and parents who had hoped for a few days' break and how they were always walking on eggshells.

Victoria White may come across as an arrogant D4 mom. I find her columns condescending, but raising an autistic child is stressful and parents who raise autistic children need support not slagging off.

Don't you mean "recycle" the Green Party to enhance is sustainablility?

It's her sense of entitlement that drives me insane, for example she said that once while shopping in Dublin and her child had an episode, another woman let her know she was being made uncomfortable by it, mrs. Ryans response was oh, you only have to put up with it for 5 mins I have to put up with it for the rest of my life, well why should the non-privileged woman have to put up with it at all in the first place. Oh and her tone where she said re the Spanish hotel fiasco Oh, I Know I Am Right - well some people consider for example alcoholism to be a disease ( I actually don't ) and following her logic a drunk puking up in a pub toilet should not subsequently be removed from the pub, after all there will be some lower class pleb on the min wage they reduced to clean up the vomit etc after the disabled person, who is disabled through alcoholism!
Oh and re a working class family in Blackpool who have a child with autism, I would have some sympathy of course with them, but the Ryan ejits are very far removed from that with their level of extreme and totally unjustifiable level of privilege and sense of entitlement and self-righteousness, it's different universe stuff!
