    Green Party Leadership Candidates

    Three candidates were formally nominated today: Cllr. Malcolm Noonan, Eamon Ryan and Phil Kearney. The election will take place by postal ballot with a closing date of 27th of May.

    Assembly elections are next week and as the greens are a 32 county party unlike most other parties in the south would Cadogan enright not be a possibility if he holds there seat in Down. After all he will be there most senior elected representative on the Island.

    Good question.

    It's going to be even more difficult for someone to rebuild the party if he's part time, but then where are they going to get the money from to pay for it.

    I imagine Ryan will win because he's the only one anyone has ever heard of, but then he's tainted by the last government so either way I'd say they're screwed.

    Sargent would have been by far their best bet for leader, he's liked, known and wasn't really tainted by the last government, but obviously he's not running for it.
