For the record, Trevor the Two-faced didn't resign his position as a TD when he was exposed as having attempted to interfere in a Garda crime investigation. True he stood down as the junior minister for growing organic cabbages in recycled excrement - and was then slobbered over by a sympathetic, brain dead media for so doing, but he remained as a TD, thereby sending out the clear and unambiguous message to his electorate that in the little Green Book of Ethical Behaviour it's quite OK for a TD to interfere with the Gardai, but not for a junior Minister.
