Had PBP or the socialist party ran 43 candidates, they'd both be above 2%.
Other parties were denied a section on politics.ie in the past because they had no DÁIL reps, having just Cllr's (and in fact an MEP as well for the SP) was deemed not to meet the criteria. Fair is fair, close their section untill they have some TD's again.

I have to say I have been one of those gloating, and really enjoyed it. Not because I don't agree with the sentiment of Green politics, but the leaders, are so patently corrupt. They cried afterwards about that bad old FF, but tax payers are still paying their pensions the still stood over all those political decisions that have lead to mass emigration.
The green agenda is alive and relevant as are a number of others, like Irish Language, Caravanning , New Age Travellers and the green agenda an be argued here in threads and posts, but with no political representation in the Dail, Ming deserves more recognition on this Party Political pert of P.ie

Agreed, it´s petty and vindictive - and could the OP find no better reference than Motormouth McKenna?

Dan "Eat and Tweet" Boyle never counted. The Seanad is an expensive and irelevant storage area and not democratically elected.

I think the point is that insane as Patricia clearly was/is, she turned out to be saner than the Greens.

I agree. The Green Party don't matter for the moment. No TDs! We have also have a environment thread for green issues so let's close the Green Party thread.
16 years of hurt are over. The Sam Maguire is back in Dublin!

It's not quite the same thing.
You can consistently apply different standards for deciding when to create a new section and when to archive an existing one. The PD section was only archived six months after the party formally wound-up.

Though given that the Greens entire public representation at national, county or city level is being reduced to three councillors, there'll rarely be a better case for removing one.

I'm not gloating. I actually have quite a lot of respect for the party.
