Green Party Posters not so Green

I found out yesterday that the material that the Green Party has used for their poster campaign is made from a material called Corriboard. This material is not recyclable. The same material is used by all the parties by the way but I thought that the Greens would surely have sought out an eco-friendly alternative

As far as I can tell, the posters are made from polypropylene, which can be recycled.

According to Wikipedia, it can be recycled into auto parts or industrial fibres. Of course, the simplest way to recycle posters is to keep them and use them next time round.

Do you know anything about how one can go about recycling them? We got a load of posters done up on the assumption that if we got the same material as the Green Party that it would be eco-friendly. I was really pissed off to find out from signmaker that they can't be recycled

Yes, they can. You could reposter them, re-use them, or just recycle them in the sense you mean. (seriously, a two minute Google search will sort you out).

You mean the guy who makes money selling new corryboard?

Did it ever dawn on you that he might have a vested interest in pretending that it couldn't be recycled?

I had no problem recycling all the PD and Green corryboard posters that I took down in 2004.

What? Was there a pact between the PDs and the Greens at the last election or were you from another party tearing down their posters?
