Jesuit ideals let down by Gutless Gonzaga Greenboys

Our schooling wishes our pupils to be men and women for others who make all the significant decisions "from the perspective of the poor".
From the website of Gonzaga College, where Green heroes, Eamon Ryan and Ciarán Cuffe, were educated. It seems the message was lost on this pair of effete narcissists.

Dunno about that. Wasn't Cuffe down at St.Patrick's Cathedral a few years ago in support of that gang of Afghans who were busily engaged in showing utter disrespect for our laws, our places of worship and indeed ourselves.

I think you'll find that sanctuary is quite an old idea.

    That was just a stunt.

He voted subsequently to cut the Christmas bonus and the minimum wage. And for the millionaire's Budget, 2010.

Note the ideal is to teach the privileged to somehow make decisions 'from the perspective of the poor' not to teach the poor how to get to a positon where they can make the decisions for themselves. If they really wished to live up t their supposed ideal they'd be imparting the benefits of a fancy education for free.....

No, instead the Js want to maintain a ruling class that is properly grateful to them, so that it doesn't do anything foolish like remove the subsidy for private schools or secularise secondary eduction. Hypocrites, the lot of them.

Some of us went to a proper Jesuit school.
"......... we must sometimes listen to those who, consumed with zeal, have scant judgment or balance. To such ones the modern world is nothing but betrayal and ruin.........We feel bound to disagree with these prophets of doom who are forever forecasting calamity -- as though the world's end were imminent."
