When the Garda are called out to fracas, they are on a win win.

Each protaganist admits to hitting the other and the garda charges all concerned.

Sargant made a blunder by looking for justice.

Instead of accepting the status quo.

"Do not interfer in Garda con jobs"

The sleazeball politics of the Greens using rotation is to distribute largesse!

I think Sargent was correct in querying why a person who did his civic duty was also charged. Maybe ethically he was wrong, but he did honourfable thing and resigned unlike wee Willie who had to be dragged out shouting and screaming and bringing the dresser with him. Sargent has restored some honour and accountability. Maybe his Protestant training had some influence. I say that as a RC
You'd think Kenny committed Treason and brought in IMF. Cowen had all in stitches in Galway at 3.30a.m.but he was "not impaired" -DD Power. FF=Publican páirtí an IMF.

Yup, spreading around ministerial pensions is such progress.
