The Green Sulkathon, by Harry Mc Gee.

ex-chair, now party leader of the Green Party and current chair Dan Boyle are getting it in the neck from the media. And why not ?
They have hurdled multiple policy platforms, spun themselves to the other side of the fence and soft-shoed a waltz up the corridors
of power. l am off to get my 'Greenwash' Mar/April village magazine. Full story at link : http://www.irishtimes.com/blogs/poli...ot-very-smart/

Except that Harry McGee's blog post is remarkably pompous and superficial. Since moving to the Irish Times he has been taking himself oh-so-bloody-seriously and now routinely sermonises to the political class as a fully paid up insider full of cliched nostrums about 'pragmatism' and 'realism' - the notions behind which most Irish pol corrs hide their cowardly refusal truthfully to describe the political and economic horrors that are being visited on us. But that's what an obedient journalist has to do to hold onto a mainstream media job, of course. McGee used to be so lively and witty at the Irish Examiner. Nowadays he's almost unreadable.

I think Harry McGee in the Examiner was the originator of Cowen being the "master of his brief". Oh for those days to back again since we discovered the emperor has no clothes.
Clowen is now master of his belief - i'll do it my way, (as he sang in Clara) or NAMA flop.

But hopefully (whether he masters them or not) he still has his briefs.
