I saw the attempted interview with Boyle last night and was struck by the arrogance of this unelected Billy Bunter - he waddled away from the cameras at a rate of knots all puffed up with self importance.

The guy is a coronary waiting to happen and should at once start himself on the muesli and asparagus diet so beloved by his fellow greens if he wants to save himself a trip to his local intensive care unit in the near future.

I'd love a whole discussion about his use of his twitter accont and how this form of social media is not been used by teh Irish political system.

We had sprinkling of it during the last election and I have already documented how some FG politicians who used it during their campaigns have suddenly given up on it - instead of using it to build to profile...

What cannot be said about Dan Boyle is that he is not using his twitter account to his advantage... 5/5 for sendboyle imo

I'm not sure if other people noticed it but when Boyle was walking away, full of his own importance, with the camera and TV3 reporter following him, they were totally oblivious to the homeless guy shuffling in a sleeping bag in a doorway, on what was a bitter cold night. I just thought it was a poignant moment caught on camera. Same planet, different world...
We all love animals. Why do we call some 'pets' and others 'dinner'?

Good point: I did indeed notice the red sleeping bag on the steps of a building not a stone's throw from Leinster House.

Yes I saw this homeless person and did gasp at it, worlds apart, was surprised Vincent Browne did not mention it when he replayed "interview" last night

    Farce is the word.
This is Dan Boyle's Bio from his (in)famous Twitter account, but for how long, one wonders.

    "Still Green Party Chair,
    Still Senator -
Still Deputy Leader of Seanad Éireann"
"Human rights is about holding those with power to account for abuse of power." - Mary Robinson

“It is said that power corrupts, but actually it's more true that power attracts the corruptible. The sane are usually attracted by other things than power.” David Brin - Sci Fi Novelist
