There were 200 members during that period on a good day. Suddenly, in 2007, there were 2000+. Indeed, as stated here, after losing 500+, they are still growing

Sargent has just resigned; IMO he was an arrogant airhead. However he did like plants and trees. The rest have no activist credentials after de burca left (at one point, she used to canvass even for the Legion of Mary, and is undoubtedly an activist, as gormley will continue to discover)


So now here is the crucial question – could it be that the 2000+ members the Greens boast are mainly Ffers moonlighting? Has anyone checked their membership rosters? For an outlay of just 5k a year, recoupable in one small brown envelope, FF could create 1,000 Green “members” to vote for Nama etc.......................
