If Trevor resigns as a Minister, and Willie last week, why does he get a pay-off?

If I choose to leave my job, I get nothing.
We have turned the corner.I commend this Budget to the House. Brian Lenihan, 9 December 2009

He's doing it to give Trev a right to reply.

But it looks like Trev will have to go.

An interesting fact is both Trevor and Enda in previous lives were school teachers.
What makes you think that this is an FG smear campaign?

There are other, more likely, sources for this "smear".

    What's up with that?

That's interesting. I'm, trying to think what scandal might be dug up from the time. Truth to tell, there's probably a whole menu of them - like any other year.

This Dáil is beginning to remind me of Lord of the Flies.

    Say what now?

Is it illegal to be a school teacher? I would question your definition of "interesting".
