Erg. The Examiner is owned by the Crosbies, an old FG family. I remember them saying pretty muc the same thing after Convention, perhaps hoping to inspire an otherwise-cynical turnout and banking on FG gaining the transfers. One large pinch of salt, please.
That's fair enough but if they're that FG inclined I reckon they'd just promote FG. I mean can you honestly say they've been playing Labour up too in their articles?

    Carlow/Kilkenny

Time for the greenies to take a reality check here. This is the first of 4 polls showing Mary White within an asses roar of a seat. The other polls all show Labour comfortably retaining the seat. I believe O' Brien will do it for us and that we'll see three non- FF seats, with either 1 FG and 1 Green or more likely 2 FG and 1 Lab. Mary's policy and the Greens policy of stopping the vital N9 Motorway through the constituency will tell against her. Welcome to p.ie Clllr. Coonan, and nice to see you defending Bobby. I agree he'll be on top of the pile at the end of the day. People's tolerance of our Deputy in Opposition/Government is wearing thin!

We are used to FFailures and Wingers telling lies on P.ie, but it is very unusual to see a Labour member resorting to this carry on.

The "vital N9 motorway" is neither vital, nor is it a motorway.

As a Labour member I would have thought you would have more regard for how taxpayer's money is spent, and would be able to see higher priorities for said monies than wasting it on a road that is orders of magnitude too elaborate (and too expensive) in capacity and cost for the projected volumes of traffic which will be expected to use it.

Mary White is quite correct to point out the failings of this monumentally flawed project, and those who support the development of the N9 to an appropriate standard should be supporting her position, not telling lies about her position.

I'm hearing lots of comment that people who are very disappointed that O'Brien was selected and that a significant proportion of formerly Labour leaning voters are going to vote for Mary White (and John Paul Phelan).

Are you sure you are not a FFailure indulging in a spot of trolling?
