This is major, DDB is now saying that her info on the contents of Niamh Brennan's report comes from Gormley himself whereas Gormley has been saying in public that he has not a clue what DDB is referring to. Ditto with Dan Boyle who says he does not know what is in the report but DDB says that it was discussed by the Parliamentary Party.
@ Murra She never said she saw it, but she did say it was discussed openly. This ties in with a Morning Ireland interview with Dan Boyle who effectively criticised DDB in telling porkies as he himself wasn't aware of anything especially critical about FF in the report. Of course, he couldn't have known this without being told what was in the report.

Personally I think the report will be somewhere between the two, it will be critical of the government of the time, but not finger any politician in particular. So in essence, you can massage the message to suit your own requirements.

The critical element will be the Greens discussing the report amongst themselves beforehand. Something FF would never admit to. This reinforces the FF view that the Greens are dangerous idiots who can't be trusted to play the 'right' kind of politics.

I was referring to the ministerial swap deal which De Burca claims Boyle told her about.

She was vague enough about the Docklands report.

De Burca, who quit the Senate and her party membership last month citing a loss of confidence in Minister Gormley, said she wasn't initially aware of the "musical chairs" agreement when she joined the Green parliamentary party, but was later told about it by former colleague, Green Senator Dan Boyle.

"I was shocked to hear it," she said. "I had no idea why it had been agreed."

Fairly categorical that Dan Boyle knew and told her about it...

    Oops, sorry.

Re Ministerial swap - none of the parlimentary party denied its existance though... did they?

I doubt very much that Gormley will give over his seat. Boyle is behind him.
