the deal seemed to be made between gormely and cowen, more fool gormley for believing it and considering it rather then policy issues.

Ooooooh, she just landed Dan Boyle in the craper!!

She is effectively saying that Dan has been lying through his teeth over the last week about the Green Ministerial musical chairs.

She says that it was Dan who informed her about the agreement among the Parliamentary Party to rotate Ministerial posts when she joined the Senate a couple of months after the deal was done among the others. Whereas Dan has been saying something else about his knowledge of any such deal over the last week.

Jaysus hell hath no fury eh. Whats this "we" business she's talking about, hasn't she left The Green Party? The Greens may not have been very impressive in govt., but Deirdre De Burca only left because she didn't get that handy number in Europe. She's a self serving wagon with zero credibility.

And she has now just stated that her concerns re the DDDA report and the possibility of it not being published because it fingers FF (i.e. Cowen) in mismanagement comes from discussions she has had on the the document with John Gormley himself. This is major, DDB is now saying that her info on the contents of Niamh Brennan's report comes from Gormley himself whereas Gormley has been saying in public that he has not a clue what DDB is referring to. Ditto with Dan Boyle who says he does not know what is in the report but DDB says that it was discussed by the Parliamentary Party.

The Greens will probably get hammered at the next election, but I doubt anything Deirdre De Burca has to say will make any difference one way or the other. She is pathetic.

THAT is serious stuff... of course she needs to be able to prove it and not just heresay, but if she tells Keane two or three things that are in the report, that she couldn't know but for Gormley telling her.. then it gets explosive.

Otherwise you'll get more rubbish posted by people like the above - thats this is all an agenda.. yiou may not like the messanger.. but its the message that counts.

While it is clear that the reason DDB quit was due to her not getting what she 'thought' she was entitled, I still do not understand why some people on this site have a negative impression of her.

Finally we have got someone from the inside who is willing to spill the beans on all the misquoting and spin that is coming from the Greens (of course other oarties are doing it too).

Whatever motivation she has for doing this is missing the point. This is great news as for about the next year, everytime the Greens stand up and waffle about not knowing, having been mislead etc etc, they know that all likelihood DDB will be on the airwaves the next day calling them up on it.

WOuld you rather that the Greens continue to be given the easy ride they are by the mainstream media? This is why we need the whistleblowers charter, as soon as DDB comes out with negative comments the establishment brandishes her as some sort of loon (which she may well be but don't lose sight of the message)

People think less of her because she was quite happy to keep the beans under lock and key until she didn't get her seat on the gravy train.
