Was Gehlen guilty of war crimes though? The leading postwar politicians (Adenauer, Schumacher, Brandt, Josef Muller etc) had been anti-nazis although you're right about Globke, Schleyer etc. having dodgy histories. It's hard to get a complete clean slate after a totalitarian regime, just look at the rise of ex-KGB man Putin in Russia!

Still- this is NOT most leaders of the new Germany as it was stated here.
You will find a very good few examples all over the place. Keep looking, you tell me nothing new.
But it was tried to pose a whole class of leaders as nazis, which clearly was not the case.
No nazis were allowed prominent positions in the DDR like they were in West Germany.

    B ull************************.
    A modern legend.
You cannot take Germany and declare the West the nazi part and the East the denazified part.
It was one country and when it was divided the dices fell where they fell.
It was a question of with whom you was in bed with after the war- USA or USSR.
THe GDR had the same amount of small mediocre nazi guys in leading positons as the western half. And as in the West, the leadership was neither a majority of ex-Nazis.
This is an idiot's game about half knowledge and ignorance, fuelled by anti German feelings.
But if you like it, just a few names from the Eastern side:

    Adam Wilhelm
    Siegfried Dallmann
    Egbert Frankenberg und Prochlitz
    Herbert Kroeger
    Hans Juergen Weitz

Check out their position yourself. There are loads more...same as in the west.

    There was a prize?

Although i don't know why it is self righteous to
1/ Try and establish why using the term Nazi is offensive to Jews rather than the person being called the Nazi
2/ Pointing out that introspection is a good thing and people shouldn't mislead themselves with false semantics

I assume tho that the prize comes with a cheque.

I am not sure I ever limited my comments to the Jewish people. I think it should offend anyone. Merkel, Jewish people, German people, right thinking people. You cannot just daub anyone with an aggressive economic policy as a "Nazi".

They use the term often enough until it is no longer regarded as a term of abuse - maybe that's the real objective?

Limiting the offense to 6 million graves would indicate the Jews (or exclude them)

either way, how is a Greek paper referring to Angela Merkel as a Nazi offensive to Jewish people, German people, right thinking people etc
