At the first meeting of the Galway County Council since the local elections RSF Councilor Tomás Ó Curraoin was apppointed to the Western Regional Authority and made chairperson for the second period (2012-2014) of one of the councils Strategic Policy Committees. These committees concerned themselves with housing, water or roads, etc.
Councilor Ó Curraoin was also proposed as Deputy Mayor of the Council itself by Councilor Seosamh Ó Cuaig, an Independent member of the Coucil and a former official with the Gaeltacht Civil Rights Committee. He was seconded but failed to achieve the office.
well done, Tomás and good work RSF.
