Fianna fail have a low base in county at moment so they may not lose any council seats
On a good day Fine gael could win 3 seats in the Ballinasloe electoral area. Paul Connaughton (Junior) os a dead cert and will probably top the poll. Michael Mullins is a dead cert. I predict that Michael Finnerty and John Goode will be there to take the final seat. The possible loosers Dermot Connolly (Sinn Fein) or Joyce (Fianna Fail). Any thoughts?????????
It would be some turn up for the books for FG to get 3 seats in Ballinasloe and while i think there is a chance, i think it will be the same as before 2FG 2 FF 1 SF
FF will definatly hold there 2 and i believe Connolly is stronger then people think he is.
Look for mullins to top the poll, the 2 FF candidates and then a fight for the rest

The arrival of Paul Connaughton jun into Ballinasloe area is very interesting especially as senior gets most support from North Galway. It is probably more open there but is a risky start to career especially if not elected.
This is the only thread I see dedicated to the Galway County elections, the others (having checked both Galway and C-U forums) seem to be issue based or related to the City Elections.
Anyone following Ballinasloe TC? Good chance of the Greens gaining a seat there
Do you know Is there a green candidate in Conamara area? Also what happened to greens in Tuam area? There was a lot of talk about 2 candidates one was a rector in Galway and the other was a foreign lad , both seemed interesting characters pity if they are not going.
They have a good canadate there, well known in the town born in Creagh, involved in the
community popular, stands a good chance.
