Galway West candidates sign pledge on Shannon

Glor Chonamara has reported today that four Galway West candidates have signed a specific pledge that they will not enter Government unless the US Forces are no longer permitted to use Shannon Airport.

    They are:

    Michael D Higgins
    Niall O Brolchain
    Catherine Connolly
    Ann-Marie Carroll

As two of these are likely to be elected, Iraq has indeed become an issue.

    Good.

Just joined and your 5 posts are all about Frank Fahey? This has nothing to do with the original topic but Frank can stand by whatever he wants, he'll be standing at the count in a few weeks realising his political career is dead.

It's easy for Higgins to do so given he isn't running this time. Are you sure it was him?

MMM did not know this one is back again. I thought Dermot Ahern had killed it off.

Labour & Useless Independents a Recipie for Disaster

The empire is striking back my friend....wake up and smell the coffee, the point is Frank Fahey DOES stand on the most pressing of issues concerning the development of Galway and providing education, employment and tan infrastructure for its citizens. What exactly does Catherine Connolly STAND for? I'll tell you what, NOTHING...but she seems to be against EVERYTHING...
By the way, I'll have pleasure in helping your 'socialist' friends count thier last few tallies, that is when there counted POT. Caio for now!

It's Ciao by the way. I'm no socialist. Just tell Frank he'll have plenty of time to manage his forty gaffs in a few weeks.
