    An mhaith leat ceoil tradisiunta?

Ghlan mé na teachtaireachtaí a raibh Béarla amháin iontu. Tá mé sásta glacadh le méid áirithe Béarla a fhad is go bhfuil iarracht ann chun Gaeilge a úsáid. Ceapaim go bhfuil sé sin féaráilte ar na daoine nach bhfuil mórán Gaeilge acu.
Tá go leor daoine nach bhfuil sásta iarracht ar bith a dhéanamh. Glanfar teachtaireachtaí na ndaoine seo.
Gan rialacha mar seo ní bheadh aon phointe leis an bhfóram seo mar sin ní fiú gearán a dhéanamh faoi.

I have wiped the messages that had only English in them .I'm happy to accept a limited amount of English in posts as long as attempts to use Irish are made. I think this is fair enough for the people who have limited Irish.
Many seem unprepared to make the slightest effort. Such posts will be wiped.
Without such rules this forum is pointless so any moaning about these rules is ridiculous.

Is iad Planxty, Kíla, agus Luke Kelly na h-actaí(sic) tradisiúnta gurb fhearr liom...
Planxty, Kíla and Luke Kelly are the trad acts I like best

Smaoineamh, an bhfuil Gaeilge do 'sic'?
A thought, is there an Irish translation of sic?

'Sé an chiall atá le "sic" ná "mar seo" nó "thus" sa Bhéarla. Is dóigh go bhféadfaí "mar seo" a úsáid. Cad a deir an foclóir?

Ná Laidin é "sic" ar aon nós? Mar sin, is annamh a dhéantar iarracht ar bith é a aistriú go Gaeilge.

Sea, Laidin atá ann. Is dóigh nach gá é a aistriú i ndáirire.

Tá mé féin go maith ar an mhaindilín, go measartha ar an bhainseo agus millteanach ar an bhosca.

Ní maith liom ardnosachas ar bith maidir le "cad is ceol traidisiúnta ann." no "cad is uirlis cheart thraidisiúnta ann." Ní shílim gurb ionann traidisiúnta agus "gan athrú ar bith."

Tá dlúthbhaint idir an teanga agus an ceol i mo bharúil féin...d'eascair rithimí an cheoil thraidisiúnta as rithimí labhartha agus filíochta na teanga (i mo bharúil neamhacadúil neamhghairmiúil thraidisiúnta féin!)
