According to a CNN report, the military will assist civilian authorities in the event of a significant swine flu outbreak in the U.S. this fall, stoking fears that the pandemic, which has claimed relatively few lives so far, will be used as an excuse to implement martial law and a mandatory vaccination program.

“The plan calls for military task forces to work in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. There is no final decision on how the military effort would be manned, but one source said it would likely include personnel from all branches of the military,” states the report.

As reported by CNS News earlier this month, a health-care reform bill approved by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee called The Affordable Health Choices Act, will fund the creation of state “intervention” teams that will carry out home visits in order to check that both children and adults have been vaccinated and also provide “provision of immunizations”.

“Home visits? What exactly is the state going to do when it sends people to “implement interventions” in private homes designed “to improve immunization coverage of children”? asks the CNS report.

I think the whole thing stinks! Anyone care to tell me this is incorrect? I hope it is...

Are they seriously going to institute forced vacinations? Would that not be a breach of the Constitution?

It's my personal belief that interest groups are polimicing swine flu in order to get governments to spend massively on pharmaceuticals like Tamiflu. The pharmaceutical industry is huge and an immensley powerful lobby group. Whether the pandemic is real or exaggerated, one thing is sure. Sanofi Pasteur will be sneezing all the way to the bank.
France alone has recently bought 100 million doses of a vaccine from Sanofi, GSK, Novartis and Baxter for a total of €700 millon.

The pandemic IS real but it's not necessarily that dangerous and forced vaccination is just wrong.

Where, can you tell us, Wakeupcall, is there a plan to forcibly vaccinate US citizens? Not in your imagination, or in the imagination of some journalist/blogger, but in the actual reports or legislation you reference.

Not only that, but in the U.S., there is always a shortage of vaccine--and this year, shortages of the swine flu vaccine are predicted to be even greater than for "regular" flu. The earliest availability expected in October. Many kids start back to school next month, and that is when it's really needed. So what are they going to be forcing on everyone?

Truth is, it's usually people knocking at the clinic door asking for vaccine that has run out, not the other way around.

Trolling the thread...? What are you talking about. It is not a matter of me 'not agreeing'. The post is clearly factually incorrect and grossly mis-titled. I merely pointed that out.

If you can point to any evidence for an actual plan for mandatory swine flu vaccination, I look forward to it. And I will be appalled and will fight the good fight with Rhonda and Wakeup against what is clearly a fundamental breach of human rights.

However, if you cant, please be quiet.
