The Treaty of Gandamak ceded control of all Afghan foreign policy to Britain. There was Third Afghan War which the British also won but they left in 1919 with the Durand Line confirmed.

*sigh* don't why I bother but I suppose I hope some ray of light will enter the dark dank cesspool of hateful convulsion that passes in your thick skull for a mind.
Now that is typical of your comments i.e. a whole load of nothing.

The Taliban have the run of the North West Frontier in Pakistan and with funding from elements in the ISI and the Gulf are continuing to attack NATO troops. Try reading a newspaper.
So, quite clearly, your claim that the Brits and Yanks have won was a blatant lie. Thank you for admitting it, you tool.

I don't. It is a democratically elected government nothing puppet about it.
Ha, Ha. Who picked, funded and supported them. You are a clown.

As you really are a very stupid individual I will, out of pity, go through this again as I presumed, wrongly, you had some vague knowledge of the situation.
    1. On Clinton's watch the Taliban came to power.
    2. OBL took up with them.
    3. The Sauids negotiated with the Taliban to hand over OBL in return for international recognition which the Taliban craved.
    4. The Taliban agreed and were prepared to hand him over
    5. The US embassy in Nairobi was bombed as was the USS Cole in Yemen.
    6. In retaliation Clinton ordered rocket attacks on Sudan and Afghanistan
    7. The Taliban were furious and cancelled the deal with the Saudis thinking the Saudis had hoodwinked them

Are you following all this.......good....fast forwrad to 9/11
    8. GWB goes to the UN and asks for sanction for an invasion of Afghanistan after the Taliban refused to hand over OBL
    9. The Taliban admitted....note you...admitted he was there but refused to hand him over saying there was no proof he was responsible for 9//11
    10. When the bombing began they offered to hand him over but Bush refused the offer.
    11. The Northern Alliance backed by the US and UK drove the Taliban from Kabul
    12. A video shwoing OBL admitting responsibility for 9/11 was susequently found and released.

So your folowing statement is BS

Let me put this in simple English for you, Clinton was gone when the invasion occurred and thus had nothing to do with the situation. OBL was the excuse to go after the Taliban. They dont know where he is and they never did.

All your reports come from the same media that reported the WMD's in Iraq so you just know it's a load of BS, which of course we have come to expect from you.

As for the Taliban claim. Even if it were true, if you were watching thousands of innocent people getting murdered and maimed would you not say whatever it took to get the bombing to stop. Why do you think evidence elicited under duress is not admissable in any civilised country?
A FÁS course is more your level. Stick to things you understand, like pontificate about the Brits from the height of a bar stool. Fellow tossers Crowley and Haggard will keep you company.
The bar stool is a bit silly, I have said many times on this forum that I dont drink, but irrelevance is your style.

I dont have to pontificate about the Brits from a bar stool. If you could read, I have already stated that I live in Britain. I find the average Brit to be friendly and to be against these ridiculous wars.

Now why dont you answer the question, why are you not fighting in this war that you support so greatly? You are eligible to do so.

You are just another right wing loon who wets himself with excitement every time he hears a bang.

There are effective bombs, inneffective bombs and downright catastrophic bombs; just like posts. I wonder which category your post fits into.

    Bollocks!!
Bombs are imo bad bombs almost without exception. They're an indiscriminate anti-people weapon for slaughtering people or destroying the infrastructure on which they depend. Bombs don't leave a calling card and any bombing campaign can immediately be subverted by black flag bombing.

I can't think of any revolution or social progress achieved with bombs but I can think of many peoples and societies damaged by them.

Taliban fighters are attacking the UN forces.
    UN forces are retaliating.

    Do you get it now?

Come on now Aindriu. The most likely outcome of this war will be some kind of return to Taliban rule in several areas of the country. The Taliban will be called moderates or reformists by the spindoctors, but they'll be Taliban nonetheless.

Ironically he was killed by a roadside bomb and one of the other six Brit commanders to be killed was killed at Narrow Water; where the IRA used a roadside bomb and a secondary booby trap. In that instance the dead Brit commander was Lt. Colonel David Blair.

Thorneloe was killed with another Brit in Helmand and this is an example of the price they pay to secure the opium crop.

Helicopter 'accident', eh? If Iraq is anything to go by, then the translation reads thus: 'Terrorist helicopter brought down by Russian Dhsk today'. It was always an 'accident' in Iraq, even when videos appeared on the internet of MANPADs taking down the actual helicopter in question. I guess the warhead collided with the chopper in a freak accident.

    Pathetic.

I'd really love Mr Crowley if you were the victim of a bomb some day. I think most other people would feel that way too. I hope and pray it happens and most people would be happy when it does, and carry out the same triumphalism that you do.

You represent no-one but your own sick twisted self.

I too commiserate with the family of the soldier who at least had the guts to fight in a war rather than stay an armchair chicken like Mr Crowley.

Dry your eyes Susan; Mr Crowley has been shot at and has come under fire from MLR, mortars and RPGs, put bits of friends in bodybags and you don't hear him crying. Neither will you ever hear sympathy from him for anyone who pays the price of imperialist adventurism.
