Yeah, he was really there because of the Taliban; on a great crusade to save the world from radical Islam. That would be your 'normal' view.
Whereas, the reality is that he was killed in a turf war to ensure that only the authorised drug lords (Afghan Government) control the opium production. WW2 was an exception, Britain and America have rarely been in the habit of fighting just wars. Their business has always been expansion, control and exploitation.

Afghanistan has little of value that can be exploited and controlled. The oil excuse doesn't work this time so the likes of you have to try something else to portray the US and UK as grasping murders. Now maybe...just maybe....they don't want to see Afghanistan become a failed state and get taken over by the Taliban.
