Will Gordon Brown go before Cowen?

Following Hazel Blears' resignation hot on the heels of Jaqui Smith, what are the odds now on Gordon Brown being ousted from office.

In his coverage today, RTE's Brian O'Connell claimed that if Senior ministers refused to serve under Mr Brown after the reshuffle, he was finished.

Sky News are reporting that a group of Labour MP's have circulated an e-mail demanding Mr Brown's resignation.

    Hopefully!
The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

Brown is definately in a far worse position. I mean people are turning down joining his cabinet and people like Miliband and Darling are refusing to move.

If he cannot re shuffle properly then he is finished and apparently Alan Johnson would take over and hold a September/October election.

What are the implications of a general election in the UK for the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty?

The Tories promise a referendum - which in the UK would surely be rejected - but what's the current timeline on ratification? And what are the chances that Brown could be replaced by Labour without Balls/Miliband (or whoever) feeling the need for a general election mandate?

The Tories can only hold a referendum if Ireland votes no again.

Also apparently John Reid in his meeting with Brown, Told him to resign.

    Brown's departure and Lisbon Treaty

Interesting. Why would Ireland need to vote no again for Britain to hold a referendum?
