    Mexico to decriminalise drug possession

The Mexican parliament have passed a bill proposing to decriminalise the possession of drugs including pot, heroin and cocaine. The decriminalisation will apply to amounts of the drugs deemed to be for personal use only. Presidente Fox has promised to sign the bill into law

The US government are up in arms, as this is a direct affront to their much-vaunted War on Drugs. Perhaps the Mexicans are trying to annoy Bush for the US attempt to criminalise Hispanic illegal immigrants.

The yanks are simply afraid other countries follow the Mexican lead, take the huge profits out of drugs, and screw the last of their pension and banking systems.

Do you have any idea how much illegal drugs generate globally annually. About 3 trillion. Legalise it, and its worth about 100 times less.

Should help the drug dealing business of the comrades who entertained our three bird watching friends some time ago. No wonder ROC approves.

I do not agree, you eejit, that decriminalisation of cociane would actually be bad for drug dealers. Drug dealers want it decriminalised ; if it was bad for their business do you think they would want that ?

What do you think the gangs would turn to if drugs were decriminalised.
