Another British Army soldier killed in Afghanistan

This time from the infamous Black Watch.

"The soldier died from a gun shot wound suffered during a patrol with the Afghan National Army in the vicinity of Woqab, close to Musa Qaleh, in Helmand Province.

The soldier was taking part in a routine "reassurance" patrol, an MoD spokesman said."

    What's a "reassurance" patrol?

A rassurance patrol is basically one to reassure the public that there is an active police/security presence. It is the same as "Bobbies in the beat".

Probably to "reassure" the locals that everything is Hunky Dory. I mean would'nt you feel a lot better to see a fully armed 19 year old foreigner patrolling your street.....

Must of been an accident then............... Heavens forbid the good citizens of Afghanistan would find the black watch anything other than reassuring. Sher there only there to help people........ protecting them all from fellow citizens whom MOST support. He shouldnt have been there, if he was at home he most likley would still be alive, unfortunate.

What has this got to do with Ireland? Is there a reason why we should care?

Considering that the Taliban recently have been forcing groups of women into houses, locking the doors, and then setting the building alight, you bet a fully armed 19 year old foreigner would be preferable.

But Taliban are such nice people as people in Swat Valley in Pakistan have been finding out.

Marxist Muslims is best expression of policies followed.

Especially if that 19 year old had just come from an extremist madrass in Saudi Arabia/Jordan/Chechnya or Pakistan.
