Strictly speaking wouldn't "HIV Queen of Europe" be more up your alley pete2?
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.

If I misunderstood your intentions then I withdraw the comment. Immigration doesn't overly bother me as long as they integrate. something that is unfortunately not happening with a portion of the muslim population in europe. I see that as a source of worry.

And Ireland has followed that culture over the last 10 years.

You should note that this category is not widely effected.
It is mainly carried among gays and African immigrants.

lol Did you even read the text quoted in the OP? The rise in infections is attributed in large part to African immigrants, one of Britain's most religious constituencies!

Queens, alley - I see what you did there

Its the headline in the print & online edition of metro, as appearing here.

I always try to rely on the source for an OP.

When was the last time you saw any HIV awareness campaign in the media, in Ireland or the UK? It rarely gets a mention these days so articles like the one pete22 highlighted here serve well as a reminder to people of the dangers.

It's quite ironic that for the past 2 weeks we've been inundated with the swine flu 'scare', with channels like Sky almost predicting the end of the world for us all. I suppose it's good for viewer numbers and the pharma companies their investment arm has just invested heavily in.

Ironically, while all this scaremongering is going on, tens of thousands of people in Ireland and the UK are on the town, getting out of their heads on drink and/or drugs, and looking to get a one night stand of unprotected sex with complete strangers. An NHS study into alcohol use and HIV risk states:

This article is a review of some of the major epidemiological, behavioral, biological, and integrative prevention research issues and priorities in the area of HIV/AIDS and alcohol consumption. Drinking alcohol increases both the risk for infection with HIV and related illnesses and the morbidity and mortality of patients who progress to AIDS. New and improved measurement procedures have helped in assessment of the complex patterns of alcohol use, identification of intervening explanatory mechanisms for risk behaviors and contexts, and determination of intervention outcomes. Both the direct and indirect effects of alcohol misuse appear to be major contributors to both the risk for infection with HIV and the transmission of HIV/AIDS at the individual and population levels.
Mention the above to the hordes of drunks in Temple Bar at 2 a.m., or the drunk Irish & British tourists in Ibiza, and you'll likely end up in hospital yourself.

HIV is very much alive and out there. It's good to remind people of that fact from time to time.
We all love animals. Why do we call some 'pets' and others 'dinner'?

It's attitudes like this that may mean that half of infected heterosexuals don't know they're infected.

So you're doing a public service are you? Give me a break, LMFAO.

A quick scoot through your posts shows your obsession with these nasty black people coming here taking all the jobs, free-loading off our welfare system, and now infecting all of us with HIV. Like I said, you're a grubby little racist with a black man-obsession, trotting out all the same reheated, bullsh it, racist drivel that occasionaly climbs out from under the rock it has previously slithered beneath. Time you found some other subject to whack off to.

Maybe Kissinger intended to depopulate Europe and not just Africa.
